Sweeping ban on EPS-based DPT by 2025
Hong Kong will be phasing out disposable plastic tablewares (#DPT) with less than 30 months time. In the public consultation document released in July 2021, the Government has proposed a sweeping ban on EPS-based DPT around 2025. 🚫
Without the provision of EPS tablewares from catering premises, there are many alternative packages emerged in the market:
